The AF Logo
Our logo was created by artist and designer Sanjay Ghosh based on the traditional figures of a dancing couple from Gujarat that we had chosen initially. It represents the key principles of sustainability, social justice, pluralism and spirituality around which our philosophy and work are centred.
The logo as a whole shows the inter-relationship of nature and culture and the central and creative role played by human beings.
The dancing man and woman show the harmony and interdependence between the male and female principles – thus reflecting both social justice and pluralism. The dancing figures also show the dynamism and positive spirit of human beings.
The sun and the tree show the importance of nature and the universe for life – thus emphasizing sustainability.
The inter-connectedness of all things shows the dimension of spirituality – which we conceptualize as the unseen linkages between all human beings and all elements of existence.
