We have been working on water policy issues right since our inception. Another aspect has been our development communication work on water and sanitation, that is briefly described under the menu item Development communication.

With India's ever-growing population and relatively less feshwater resources, using water efficiently for our people as well as for the growing needs of our economy is one of the biggest natural resource management challenges we face. A series of papers and a book by G N Kathpalia and Rakesh Kapoor have explored the critical issues in the management of water in 21st century India. Some of the ideas we have suggested are gradually becoming more acceptable, some others are more futuristic but will, nevertheless, be accepted inthe course of time.

Some of these papers and the book, Charting a New Course: A Strategy for Sustainable Management of India's Water Resources in the 21st Century, are listed here and can be downlaoded.
